Duquesne Young Artist National Competition Concerto Division Winner
Congratulations Joseph Mohan
We thank members of the PSO staff for their contribution of time and effort.
We also thank members of Symphony North for their support. Symphony North was organized in 1960 by Nan Newsletter and fifty charter members. The North Hills was the first area to organize when the Womens' Auxiliary formed neighborhood groups to aid in the Symphony Fund Drive. Today Symphony North is an affiliate of the Pittsburgh Symphony Association.
Following the auditions the judge will leave the auditorium. The Grand Prize Winner will be announced at the completion of the judging.
Please join us for a reception in the foyer following the Concert.
The Duquesne Young Artist Competition was founded in 1990 by Natasha Snitkovsky to give young musicians a unique opportunity to perform and receive a detailed critique from a master teacher. Our goal is that every musician will finish the audition with a deeper knowledge of the music he has performed, a more profound understanding of his own musicianship and enhanced confidence as a performer. The Pittsburgh Symphony became a partner in 1995
Congratulations to all of the young people who entered the Competition. <
